Venetian Plaster in Melbourne

Venetian plaster is where painting becomes craft. Built up in thin layers of lime plaster and burnished by hand, a true Venetian finish has a depth and a soft glow that no paint effect can imitate. It is a specialty of ours, and it is the finish clients most often ask us to bring to a feature wall, an entry, or a whole room.

Traditional application

Multiple thin coats, worked and troweled by hand, then burnished to bring up the polished, marble-like surface Venetian plaster is known for.

Real materials

Lime-based plasters and natural pigments, not a printed or sprayed imitation. The result reads differently in changing light through the day.

Colour and sheen to suit

From a soft matte marmorino through to a high-polish stucco veneziano, tuned to the room and the light it gets.

Feature walls to full rooms

Entrance halls, feature walls, bathrooms, ceilings and commercial spaces where the wall itself is meant to be the finish.

We offer the full range of authentic Italian lime finishes, each sampled on site before we commit:
